Heliconia rostrata

Heliconia rostrata
Since some time we have a plant somewhere in a corner in our garden, that recently started flowering. The plant was given to us by an aunt of my wife.

The origin of the plant is South America, like Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador and is the national flower of Bolivia.

The plant was introduced in many South-East Asian countries by the European settlers in the last couple of centuries.
